How It All Started
Tied Up was founded in June 2019, thanks to the support of my mother and soon-to-be sister-in-law. It began with the idea of making unique scrunchies for ourselves, which quickly drew interest from friends. Realizing the potential, we decided to turn our hobby into a business.
From creating our logo to hand-delivering orders, we handled everything ourselves. After launching on Instagram and Facebook, our small business rapidly gained traction. A few months of success followed before my sister-in-law embarked on her own adventure abroad.
Over the years, we’ve expanded our product line to include a wide variety of hair accessories, such as Alice bands, long-tail scrunchies, pearl clips, claw clips, scrunchie holders, and more.
Now, six years later, we’ve made over 15,000 scrunchies and continue to grow. We are deeply grateful for the love and support we’ve received and look forward to bringing you new and unique hair accessories!

My name is Kelly, though most people know me as Kels or “The Scrunchie Girl.” I’m a proud East London Girl and the Owner and Creator of Tied Up.
Six years ago, I started Tied Up as a creative outlet, making scrunchies for a few friends and family. What began as a small endeavor quickly grew into a thriving business that has become my full-time passion. Seeing Tied Up blossom from its humble beginnings to a beloved brand has been an incredible journey, and I am deeply grateful for the support we’ve received.
I am excited about the future and look forward to continuing to bring unique and stylish hair accessories to our wonderful community.
